GibbsStudio

The graphical workbench for PHREEQC

Manage water samples, run PHREEQC models, fit parameters and plot the results in one application for Windows and macOS. PHREEQC is included, nothing else to install.

Version 6.1.0 · PHREEQC 3.8.8 · Windows x64 · macOS (Apple Silicon)

From input to figure

Your PHREEQC model, its data and its plots in one project

No more copying selected output between text editors and spreadsheets. The model tree keeps inputs, parameters, studies and plots connected.

GibbsStudio running a PHREEQC parametric mixing study: the model tree, the plot data source and expressions, and a three-dimensional saturation-index surface over temperature and mixing fraction

PHREEQC basics · Parametric mixing · saturation index over temperature and mixing fraction

Import what you already have

Open existing .pqi inputs and thermodynamic databases as they are. GibbsStudio runs the original PHREEQC engine and keeps the original output.

Parameterize any value

Replace numbers in your input with parameters or mathematical expressions, then run every combination as one study.

Plots that follow your model

Selected output feeds tables and interactive 2D and 3D plots that update after every run. Export to SVG for your report.

Water chemistry

Field data and model results in the same figure

Import analyses from CSV or SQLite, check their charge balance, classify them by water type and irrigation suitability, and draw them on Piper, Schoeller and USSL diagrams. Then plot them next to your PHREEQC results to check the calibration by eye.
